The first trailer has been released for the upcoming Channel 4 drama in which Steve Coogan plays veteran TV journalist  Brian Walden opposite Harriet Walter as Margaret Thatcher.

Brian and Maggie revolves around the pair’s last televised clash in 1989, which became one of the most famous political exchanges of all time and helped set in train a series of events that ended with Thatcher’s resignation

The two-part series was written by James Graham  and based on Rob Burley’s book Why is This Lying Bastard Lying to Me?:  Searching for the Truth on Political TV.

It has been made by Coogan’s production company Baby Cow Productions, but no air date has yet been confire,d.
