Obviously, the US election loomed large on Saturday Night Live last night. 

In the Weekend Update segment, Colin Jost and Michael Che made plenty of jokes about the race, with the former  saying: ‘Next week the American people will decide if the next president will be Kamala Harris or if everyone on SNL will get audited.’

Trump’s stunt with a garbage truck and comic Tony Hinchcliffe telling the Republican candidate’s Madison Square Garden rally calling Puerto Rico a ‘floating pile of garbage’. 

Earlier in the show, Harris made a a surprise appearance, appearing in a mirror opposite  Maya Rudolph, who plays her on he NBC show:
